  • Balvenie Castle

    Balvenie Castle - Near Dufftown is a striking fortification and dates to the 1200's. Partially hidden by woodland, there is more to this castle than meets the eye and the interior is very much larger than seems possible from the outside. Close inspection presents the visitor with a unique account of life many hundreds of years ago when the powerful Comyn earls ruled in Glenfiddich.

    Moray and Aberdeenshire have  a rich abundance of Castles and many of these can be viewed by following the Castle Trail.

  • The Speyside Way

    Walking The Speyside Way is the longest walking route in Scotland and was first opened in 1981, The route now links the Moray coast with the edge of the Grampian Mountains, generally following the valley of the River Spey. The Speyside Way Ranger Service, based in Aberlour, covers all of the route and is managed by the Moray Council on behalf of the Access Authorities responsible.

Visitors return regularly to enjoy golf in this beautiful Banffshire setting where two of the holes (7th & 10th) feature in "Britain's 100 Extraordinary Golf Holes" by Geoff Harvey and Vanessa Strowger.
